This policy explains how Lexington Language Hub Sdn. Bhd. ("Lexington", "we", "us"), operator of lawnhub.pro, handles personal data. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (PDPA).
1. What we collect
When you send an enquiry or book a trial lesson, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, the course you are interested in and the content of your message. If you enrol as a student, we additionally hold your lesson schedule, attendance, level assessments, progress reviews and, for Young Learners, the name and contact details of a parent or guardian.
Our website also records limited technical data — pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, browser type — through cookies described in our Cookie Policy.
2. Why we collect it
- To respond to enquiries and arrange trial lessons;
- To deliver courses, schedule lessons and issue certificates;
- To send administrative messages about your bookings;
- To improve our website and teaching services;
- To meet legal and accounting obligations in Malaysia.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to [email protected].
3. Class recordings
Lessons are recorded so students and parents can review them. Recordings are stored securely, shared only with participants of the relevant course, and deleted no later than twelve months after the course ends. If you object to appearing in a recording, tell your tutor and we will arrange an alternative.
4. Who we share data with
Data is shared only with service providers who help us operate — hosting, scheduling and payment processors — under contracts that restrict their use of it, and with authorities where Malaysian law requires. Some providers store data outside Malaysia; where they do, we require protections consistent with the PDPA.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry data that does not lead to enrolment is deleted after eighteen months. Student records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and accounting rules, then destroyed. Recordings follow the shorter period described above.
6. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to your personal data, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent to its processing. Requests go to [email protected] or by post to Suite 12.03, Level 12, Wisma UOA II, 21 Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We respond within twenty-one days.
7. Security
We protect personal data with encrypted connections, access controls limited to staff who need the data for their role, and regular review of our systems. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we take reasonable and proportionate measures expected of an education provider.
8. Children
Young Learners enrolments are made by a parent or guardian, and all communication about a child's progress goes to that adult. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under thirteen.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with a fresh "last updated" date. Material changes affecting current students are also announced by email.
